 Come join us on 1/28/06 at 10:00 a.m. for a "Just for the Heck of It" Picnic at Griffith Park. Griffith Park
is 4,213 acres of natural fun located in the heart of Los Angeles and
is the home of the Greek Theater, Los Angeles Zoo, Planetarium, Autry
Museum of Western Heritage, numerous hiking trails, and much more
incuding acres and acres of picnic grounds.
Directions:
From the north (the San Fernando Valley, Burbank, etc.):
Take the 5 South
Exit Los Feliz
Right on Riverside Drive (I think this is the first stop light. If not, the 2nd. This is the Griffith Park entrance towards the LA Zoo.)
Drive for about 1.5 to 2 miles (until you come to the second stop sign. To your right you will see the Park Ranger Station; to the left a sign directing you to the Carousel)
Turn left and look for parking. As you wait to turn left, you should see on your far left Belmont Sentinels banners and lots of people (unless you come early).
From the San Gabriel Valley, South Bay:
Take the 5 North.
Exit Los Feliz - turn left
