1/28/06 "Just for the Heck of It" Picnic at Griffith Park
Come join us on 1/28/06 at 10:00 a.m. for a "Just for the Heck of It" Picnic at Griffith Park. Griffith Park
is 4,213 acres of natural fun located in the heart of Los Angeles and
is the home of the Greek Theater, Los Angeles Zoo, Planetarium, Autry
Museum of Western Heritage, numerous hiking trails, and much more
incuding acres and acres of picnic grounds.
The
picnic on 7.16.05 was attended by approximately 50 or so '84 Sentinels
and their families. The food was abundant and the weather, well,
we could not have asked for a better weather. People who were
expected to show up did not, while many we did not expect did show up. It had been a blast for the Sentinels and the kids.
A number of pictures
from the 7.16.05 picnic have been uploaded. Sorry guys it took so
long (exactly two weeks). It had been pretty busy in my little
corner of the world.
Anyway, enough of my whining. There's lots of pictures in the
gallery from other events too. For those of you who do not see your profile in the pictures, you have not been
participating for one reason or another. Why not?
BHS bulletin board
The Belmont High School Class of 1984 bulletin board has been set up and is functioning. The registration for the bulletin board is separate from the registration on the main site. The reason for this is that the "user only" sections of the main site are strictly for members of the Class of 1984 while the bulletin board is open to anyone. Thus, it became necessary to separate the two. However, it is not necessary for one to register to post on the bulletin board. The downside is that there will be no accountability and the individual will be left to police him/herself. With freedom, they say, comes responsibility. It is hoped that each poster will take it upon themselves to see to it that whatever he/she posts is in good taste. We can, afterall, argue without being argumentative.
